BECAUSE HE LIVES:

ALL FEAR IS GONE?

Matthew 28:1-15

In the song titled Because He Lives, by Bill and Gloria Gaither (along with Jonathan Pierce and Squire Parsons), we find the following lyrics:

“We can face uncertain days because He lives

And because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know He holds the future

And life is worth a living, just because He lives”

You can probably sing these words to the familiar tune, but are you able to practice them faithfully in these uncertain times? Do you have unshakeable confidence in the Lord and His resurrection life? Are you able to daily trust in the promises of God, like those recorded in Isaiah 41:10? There God declares, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” He promises to be with us, sustain us, and carry us through. He is our reason to fear not! If our Lord is alive, why should we be anxious or fearful of anything?
